The demonstration today (10 February), arranged by Conserve British Farming (SBF), is expected to draw in considerable attention and coincides with a key parliamentary debate on the issue.
The presentation, enlabelled “Change Your Song, Starmer”, will see farmers converge at Whitehall from 1pm, with speeches beginning at 3:15pm.
Prominent numbers such as NFU head of state Tom Bradshaw, food hardship campaigner Dominic Watters, star farmer Gareth Wyn Jones, and Nation Land and Business Organization (CLA) representatives will talk at the rally, enhancing the farming community’s message.
The protesters are calls on the Work federal government to reconsider its proposition to present a 20% inheritance tax obligation on agricultural possessions well worth greater than £1m, readied to take effect in April 2026.
