First EU country declares corona pandemic over

The EU country Slovenia has declared the Corona pandemic in its territory over and opened its borders for EU citizens from Friday. As the government announced in Ljubljana on Thursday evening, the quarantine obligation continues to apply to immigrants from other countries. EU citizens, however, can now travel to the small Alpine and Adriatic country for summer vacation almost without restrictions .

The situation in Slovenia is better than in all other countries in Europe, which is why the health emergency declared on March 12 will be lifted, Prime Minister Janez Jana said, however, precautionary measures such as the social distancing rules, the obligation to wear a face mask and the ban on public gathereing remains in place, as this is necessary because the risk of spreading the virus can not be ruled out, the government said.

The authorities of the Balkan state, which has two million inhabitants, have reported a total of around 1,500 Covid-19 cases of infection and 103 people have died but recently, the number of new infections has decreased significantly.

By declaring the pandemic in the country over, the government is avoiding an automatic extension of the package of measures to provide financial support to the population and businesses that have been hit by the crisis, according to radio broadcaster Radio Slovenija.

Si Racha Coronavirus Covid-19 Travel Update to Chonburi Thailand

Si Racha (ศรีราชา) is in Eastern Thailand, between Bangkok and Pattaya, and is the gateway to the island of Ko Sichang.

Si Racha, (Siracha, Sri Racha or Sriracha), Chonburi Province. Si Racha district is about one hour’s drive from Bangkok. Si Racha’s port and nearby Laem Chabang, the largest port in the country serving the eastern seaboard industrial provinces. Pattaya is 30 km south. 10 km north of Si Racha is Bang Saen, a seaside resort popular with locals. Chonburi Province is one of the more industrialised provinces of Thailand, although most of the province is hilly, agricultural plantations.

Many Japanese and Korean expat workers live in the area and work on the nearby industrial estates. The town itself has a newly redone waterfront, but doesn’t have much in terms of sandy beaches.

Get in

Most buses between Bangkok and Pattaya that run along Sukhumvit Road stop at Robinson’s or at Tukcom. A modern eight lane motorway has been built connecting the eastern seaboard with Bangkok, as well as to U-Tapao International Airport. It is the only airport in southeast Thailand to have direct flights, bypassing Bangkok. Older Sukhumvit Road road goes through downtown Si Ratcha to Chonburi and Pattaya, but is often congested.

Get around

  • Khao Kheow Open Zoo235 Moo 7, Bang Phra (Road 4036 west from Hwy 7), . 08:00-18.00, night safari 19:00The zoo is a blend of forests, wild animals, aviary, and responsible animal management. Sponsored by HM Queen Sirikit, the zoo has grown in size, scope and importance. More than 300 species and 8,000 animals populate the 5,000 rai sanctuary. Six of the newer residents of the zoo are rare white tigers from the Memphis Zoo in the US. Khao Kheow is described as a “wildlife bank” as many animals are on the endangered species list. The zoo is known for success in breeding some of these endangered animals. One such project is breeding the rare clouded leopard. Other endangered mammals at the zoo include the Asian wild dog, Malayan tapir, and tiger. Rare Asian bird species draw bird watchers from around the world. The walk-though aviary is Asia’s second largest with over 80 species. Endangered bird species at the zoo include the black necked stork and white crested laughing thrush. The zoo features a daily ‘penguin parade’ show and a night safari into the African Savanna and Cats Complex zones. 150-300 Thai Baht, night safari 200-400 Thai Baht.

Si Racha is famous in Thailand for its seafood, served with a fiery chili sauce known as nam prik si racha (น้ำพริกศรีราชา Si Racha spicy sauce).

  • Jay Nong’s (Bang Phra Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province). But if you want to eat seafood prepared home-style, nicely cooked and very inexpensive, go to Jay Nong’s Restaurant, which is beside the road. Each dish is cooked to order. It is roughly across the road from the pier fishermen use to land the catch from their boats. Order the food at the shack-like shop and then cross over to sit at the tree-shaded stone tables and chairs near the pier. Only a few dishes are available, and they include pla het khone dipped in batter and fried, the same fish prepared as a pad cha, fried with fresh basil, chillies and garlic, or as a tom yam and khao pad pu (crab fried rice). Monaco Coronavirus Travel After Covid-19 Monte Carlo Vontvieille Moneghetti

The Principality of Monaco (French: Principauté de Monaco) is a city-state which lies between the Alps and the Mediterranean Sea, bounded by the French Riviera to the east and west, with the Italian Riviera only a few kilometres further to the east.

This is the second smallest independent state in the world (after the Vatican) and is entirely urban. Monte Carlo is not the capital of Monaco but a government district. The country is divided into nine sectors: Monaco-Ville (the old city), the Condamine (port quarter), Monte-Carlo (business and recreation) and Fontvieille (recreation, second port for smaller boats and light industry) are the most well-known among them. With no natural resources to exploit other than its location and climate, the principality has become a resort for tourists and a tax haven for wealthy people. Monaco is six times the size of the Vatican and the world’s most densely populated country. While its borders have not moved since 1861 (when it de jure lost over 80% of its territory to France), Monaco has still grown its territory by creating artificial land from the sea, which is how the area Fontvielle came to be.

  • Rainier and Grace, republished as Grace of Monaco, by Jeffrey Robinson. An account of the lives of Prince Rainier and Princess Grace of Monaco, intertwined with the history of the country. The author knew Rainier and Grace personally, and he interviewed members of the royal family for the book.

Get in

Although it’s not part of the Schengen Area, there are no border controls when entering or exiting Monaco from France, so it can for all practical purposes be considered part of the Schengen Area. Intense police presence on entry-points throughout the day, evenings and week-ends.

By plane

The nearest airport is Nice Aéroport Nice Côte d’Azur  in neighbouring France, which is around 40 km (25 mi) away from the city centre. It operates daily flights to nearly all of Europe’s main cities, such as London and Paris. There are regular Rapide Cote D’Azur buses connecting Monaco with both terminals at Nice Cote-D’Azur airport, and taxis are always available outside the terminal buildings – although make sure a fee is agreed in advance or the meter is switched on at the start of the journey, as shady French taxi drivers are notorious for charging tourists whatever they see fit.

By helicopter transfer

Monacair is the sole operator of regular helicopter transfers between Nice Airport and the Monaco Heliport. After collecting your luggage at the Nice airport, present yourself at the Monacair reception desks (in terminals 1 and 2). A ground crew will carry your luggage and drive you to the heliport. The flight along the coast is beautiful and only lasts 7 minutes. When arriving right at the Monaco heliport along the water’s edge, a chauffeur will take you directly to your hotel. When leaving Monaco, a partnership with airlines allows for a direct transfer to the boarding gate with your cabin luggage. Check with the company if these benefits are applicable with your airline. Rates are €140 for one-way transfers, and €260 for round trips.

By train

Monaco-Monte Carlo is the principality’s only railway station and operated by the French railway company SNCF. It is about 300 m back from Port Hercule. There are lockers for left luggage.

There are good connections to the nearby parts of France and Italy which are run mainly by SNCF and also Trenitalia. There are 2-4 services per hour to Nice, Cannes, Menton and Ventimiglia (Italy).

Trains to further afield also stop in Monaco, such as the ‘Ligure’ (Marseille – Milan), the ‘Train Bleu’ (Paris – Ventimiglia), the high-speed TGV (Nice – Paris, 6hr 30min) and the longest train journey wholly in Europe (Nice – Moscow, 47hr) run by Russian Railway.

From Ventimiglia, it is easier not to use the Trenitalia counters or machines. Go to the travel agency (the only one) inside the station, which is marked with the sign of SNCF (French Railways). Return tickets not tied to a specific train are also available. Remember to validate your tickets just before boarding using the machines on the platforms.

By car

Monaco is easily accessed by its land borders from France or Italy by a network of highways, most commonly used of which is the A8 which runs west from Monte Carlo to Nice and Marseilles, and east towards the Italian border.

Between Nice and Monaco, there are also three more scenic roads: the Basse Corniche (Low Coast-Road – Highway 98), along the sea, the Moyenne Corniche (Middle Coast Road – Highway 7), going through Eze-Village, and the Grande Corniche (Great Coast Road), going through La Turbie and Col d’Eze (Eze Pass). All are pretty drives offering spectacular views over the Coast line. For an extra-special treat, rent a convertible sports car from the many airport rental services and take in the French Riviera in style.

Taxi trips to and from Nice cost around 90€. So if you’re on your own the helicopter is a viable alternative.

By bus

There is no bus station in Monaco. Instead, international buses stop at various points throughout the city. Regular buses, run by Rapide Cote D’Azur, connecting Monaco with Nice and other French destinations. Services run regularly to many major French towns and cities. Route 100 leaves every 15min from the central bus station (Gare Routière) in Nice and costs only €1.50. An express shuttle, route 110, links the Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and Menton with multiple stops near all major hotels throughout Monaco, not just the ward of Monte Carlo. A bus leaves every half hour and a single ticket costs €22 (Sep 2016), a round-trip will set you back by €33 (Sep 2016).

By boat

Monaco’s two ports are no strangers to private yachts. Port Hercule is exceptionally beautiful and offers mooring and anchoring possibilities for up to 500 vessels, some of which are extremely large and elegant (in fact, many visitors often take time out of their day to simply have a drink by the water and admire the fantastic super yachts). The Port of Fontvieille, integrated into the new district, can receive as many as 60 vessels of at least 30m in length. Both are large and well-equipped.

Monaco also serves as an embarkation port and port-of-call for cruises, so large cruise ships can often be spotted sailing in or out of Port Hercule.

Early history

in 1998
The airline was established on October 1, 1992 and started operations on November 25, 1992 with a Kiev-London flight. In 2000, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development became a shareholder by investing $5.4 million. This is the second year in a row that the company has made a loss, despite seeing growth in passengers. According to a February statement by company head Yuri Miroshnikov, UIA is struggling to stay profitable in the face of growing competition from budget airlines. In 2017, the company recorded a UAH 304 million loss.
Ukraine International Airlines posted a net loss of almost UAH 2.7 billion (about $100 million) in 2018, or about nine times more than it lost in 2017, Ukrainian media reported on March 25, citing a UIA investor report.

In February 2011, the Ukrainian government sold its 61.6% stake in UIA to three existing minority shareholders for UAH 287 million  (USD 36.2 million).
